On the first day of school the children will be tested and divided into groups according to their ability so that each child is being taught at the most appropriate level, however, these groups are flexible.

On the basis of this test the children will be divided into one of three groups so that their learning can be perfectly targeted.

At 9.30 the children are dropped off at school and the 4 hours of lessons begin, they will be structured as follows:

Vocabulary (55mins)

It is so important to increase a child’s knowledge of vocabulary, and the only way to remember it is to use it; so when we learn the vocabulary used to describe places, we then use it produce a travel brochure using the words we have learned.

Discussion (55mins)

Speaking is undoubtedly the best way to improve your English, so we try to encourage every child to speak (in English) as much as possible. So, for example, if we have learned the vocabulary of Crime and Punishment, we might use this vocabulary in a discussion as if we were having a town meeting to discuss the increase in crime. One group would be asked to be the residents complaining about the crime in their area, another group would be the Police, who don’t have enough money to deal with the rise in crime, and the third group would be an action group attempting to reduce crime by offering criminals other things to do with their time.

There will be a short break after the second lesson where they can enjoy a drink and snack in the garden.

Grammar (55mins)

Children are taught in modern, well equipped classrooms using stimulating visual presentations which involves them using their eyes, ears, hands and mouths to learn – a kinaesthetic approach to learning which, by using a multi-sensory approach makes the lessons stick in their minds.

Culture (40mins)

When we explore English matters such as Brexit, The National Health Service, English traditions, money and many more interesting aspects of life in the United Kingdom.

Diary (20mins)

Where the children all write a diary of what they have been doing each day so that they have a lasting memory of their stay in England, you, as parents see what they have done, we get to see that they are happy and busy and it is an excellent exercise in writing in the past tenses.

Each lessons includes a presentation, exercises to ensure that all the students understand the lesson and finally a game which re-enforces what they have learned but in a fun way. The teaching materials that we use are tailor-made and sourced from a number of different respected sources – this way we can ensure that we get the best from each course and make our lessons both interesting and fun.
